The First the Seed Foundation in partnership with KidsGardening would like to help support, create, and use your school gardening as a learning tool to excite children about the miracle of seed. If you already have a garden or are considering creating one, we can help. We have put together a number of free resources for you to access. These range from types of gardens you can plant, how to start and sustain a garden as well as lesson plans.
NOTE: All grants available for the 2022-23 school year have been fulfilled. Additional grants will be awarded in summer 2023.
Getting Started!
To assist you in getting started, The First the Seed Foundation will connect you with packet seed companies that will provide a discount on seeds for your garden. We will also send you a $25 Visa card to help offset the cost.
All we ask is that you complete the registration form and agree to post the sign provided in your garden. Take a picture and send it to us so that we can share on our website and quarterly newsletter.
We have a limit to how many gardens we can support, so don’t miss out.
