One of three lesson plans in our Innovate Program about Plant Breeding and Gene Editing.
Using NGSS Standard MS-LS4-5, this lesson is designed for grades 6, 7 and 8. Students will gather and synthesize information about technologies that have changed the way humans influence the inheritance of desired traits in organisms.
Objective:
- Students will be able to understand basic gene editing.
- Students will investigate innovative ways scientists use gene editing to solve challenges in modern day farming practices.
